Vaporiera is a sculptural object, a pressure cooker that concentrates flavors and brings out the best in ingredients. It’s composed of two parts, an aluminum chalice and a ceramic egg, but is used as a whole.
It doesn’t require much steam, so concentrated and precious liquids can be used with it.
Food cooks rapidly in it and all cooking fluids flow down into the chalice and mix to become a sauce.
The egg has an opening on one side to let off steam and on the other it has a foot for balancing it. It can be turned on one end for cooking and on the other for serving, a delicate ceremony that befits an extraordinary object.
